Luxemburg-Casco soccer pulls away from Wrightstown

Luxemburg-Casco High School boys’ soccer played their first game of the season Tuesday evening at Wrightstown, winning 6-3. The Spartans pounced on the Tigers early, going into halftime with a 2-1 lead. Griffin Saldana and Matthew Conway each scored two goals in the second half, the last being on a penalty kick, to help L-C pull away for a comfortable victory. The Spartans travel to Waupaca on Friday.

The match was the school’s first contact sports contest of the fall. Girls’ volleyball begins their state title defense Thursday with another game on Saturday. The football team scrimmages Friday before their season opener on the 25th.
