Spartans volleyball sweeps Wrightstown

The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team got off to a strong start on Thursday, sweeping Wrightstown in three straight sets.

 

The Spartans did not allow the Tigers to reach the 20-point plateau in any set, topping them 25-11, 25-15, 25-19. Emma Johnson controlled the offense as she tries to replace the production of former All-State standout Bekah Day, She was able to register 24 assists, four digs and two aces. Grace Holschuh led the Spartans with nine kills while Autumn Flynn and Kenzie Hanson each added six kills. Hannah Derenne helped the Spartans defensively with eight digs.

 

The Spartans are back in action on Saturday when they play in Denmark at 10:30 a.m.
