Griffin Saldana netted a penalty kick in the 89th minute to break a tie and give Luxemburg-Casco High School a 4-3 win against Waupaca. Saldana opened the scoring in the seventh minute off an assist from Matthew Conway. Waupaca struck twice within three minutes later in the first and took a 2-1 lead into halftime. Luxemburg’s Saldana figured into two other goals, four minutes apart at 52’ and 56’, assisting Cody Arendt first then Johan Amador. Garrett Zuleger hauled in four saves for the Spartans.
