The Luxemburg-Casco girls golf team came up just shy of advancing to sectionals on Thursday. In the Waupaca regional held at FoxFire Golf Club, the Spartans took sixth place out of ten teams. They finished with a total score of 466 and missed out on a spot in the top four and sectionals by eight strokes. Freedom, Marinette, Oconto Falls, and Fox Valley Lutheran all advanced with scores of 390, 420, 432, and 458. Freedom had the regions’ top two performers in Callie Berg and Emma Laundrie as they shot an 82 and 84 respectively. The Spartans were led by Lydia VandenHouten who took fifth place with a round of 97. The other members of the team shot:
