Sevastopol Runs away with Cross Country Meet

The Sevastopol cross country team was able to dominate Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran and Southern Door on Thursday. In a meet held at Sevastopol, The Pioneers were able to win the boy's race and tie the girl's race as a team. Sevastopol scored a 27 in the boy's race while N.E.W and Southern Door didn’t have enough runners to qualify. In the boy's race, Bailey Henrickson from Sevastopol was able to win it with a time of 18:32. Scott Andreae and Noah Tomaszewski also finished in the top five for the Pioneers with times of 19:31 and 19:37. Southern Door’s top finisher was Mason Massart who took sixth with a time of 19:57. In the girl's race, Sevastopol and N.E.W. tied for first with scores of 37 but Sevastopol won the tiebreaker due to N.E.W. not having a sixth runner. Southern Door wasn’t far behind with a score of 46. Sevastopols’ Olivia Stenzel and Jolene Luedtke finished first and second with times of 19:29 and 21:05. Southern Doors’ top runners Brooke Strege and Sanya Wienke finished at 22:36 and 22:53.
