Packers head to bye after beating Falcons

The Green Bay Packers will head into the bye week a perfect 4-0 after defeating the Atlanta Falcons Monday night 30-16.

The Packers opened the scoring on its first drive with Aaron Rodgers throwing his first of four touchdowns to Aaron Jones. After the Falcons responded with a 20 play drive that ended in a field goal, the Packers were able to end the half on a pair of touchdown passes to Robert Tonyan to send them into the locker room up 20-3. Todd Gurley scored the first of his two rushing touchdowns to cut the lead to 20-9 in the third quarter, but the Packers quickly answered when Rodgers found Tonyan in the end zone for their third hookup of the game. Mason Crosby closed the scoring book for the Packers in the fourth quarter with a 48-yard field goal immediately after Gurley scored his second touchdown of the game.

The Packers will look to get healthy during the bye week with Davante Adams, Kenny Clark, Rashan Gary, and Marcedes Lewis among the injured players who did not play Monday. Their next game will be October 18th at 3:25 p.m. against the Tampa Bay Buccanneers.
