Luxemburg-Casco football cancels Friday's Freedom game.

The Luxemburg-Casco Spartan football program has decided to not play Friday night against the Freedom Irish in a Northeastern Conference home game.  Coach Neil Seering announced Wednesday evening that the team had met after practice and voted not to play Friday since only eight healthy varsity players would be able to suit up.  Seering says he was informed earlier this week that an additional six starters would miss the game due to being quarantined and concerns arose of having mostly freshman playing in the game.  Freedom was able to schedule a game this Friday with Waupaca after being informed and agreeing with the decision by Luxemburg-Casco.   The Spartans will continue to practice and hope to play next Friday with an unknown opponent.  The scheduled game against Denmark on October 16th has been already canceled due to Denmark football being in quarantine.  Luxemburg-Casco Spartan football games are broadcast on the New Radio Sports Network and 96.7 FM WBDK.
