The Luxemburg-Casco soccer team was able to get a bounce-back victory on Thursday after falling to Freedom on Tuesday. The Spartans went on the road and took down the Marinette Marines 3-2. L-C was able to start the scoring with a Griffin Saldana goal in the 28th minute. Shortly after, Matthew Conway scored in the 30th minute off a Derrick Davister assist to take a 2-0 lead. Marinettes’ Keegan Polomis was able to score in the 40th minute to cut the lead to 2-1. After the half, the Marines were able to tie the game in the 57th minute with a Noah Cegelski goal. The Spartans were able to come through with the game-winning goal in the 71st minute by Matthew Conway. Garrett Zuleger recorded three saves.
The Spartans’ next game is October 12 at Wrightstown.
