Sturgeon Bay wrestler Julia Gregory is playing a big role on Team Wisconsin- Red at the Midwest Mat of Dreams HS Girls Preseason Dual this past weekend.
Team Wisconsin- Red took 3rd place in Pool B action and won the Silver Results section at the tournament held in Coralville, Iowa. Gregory went 4-3 on the weekend at 138 pounds, which includes picking up a forfeit in what would have been her final match of the day. She was able to rebound from getting pinned by two girls from Iowa to win three of her final four matches: a 17-1 technical fall of Kirsten Frier (FEWTeamIowa), an 84-second pin of Jaden Culifer (Texas Pink), and a pin of Catie Campbell (Indiana) in 4:56.
