Gamblers coach excited for season start

After having to conclude last season unexpectedly with Zoom calls for exit interviews, Green Bay Gamblers head coach Pat Mickesh is happy for some kind of return to normalcy.

The team has been practicing since the middle of September and will not feature players outside of the United States or Canada this season due to COVID-19, Players have their symptoms and their temperatures checked daily before practices. Workouts feature at least a few players off the ice due to the extra caution. Because of the limits they have outside of the rink, Mickesh says he senses the time on the ice is even more enjoyable for the players.

Mickesh says coaches will be masked up for practices and games, and that is okay for him.

He will be back behind that bench again on October 23rd when the Gamblers host Team USA at the Resch Center. Limited tickets are available and all home games will air on 104.1 WRLU.
