An old Packerland rivalry will be renewed Friday night in Brussels when Luxemburg-Casco visits Southern Door.
Game cancellations by Denmark and Kewaunee set up the matchup that has not been played since 2006. The Spartans had won five straight in the series before bolting to the Northeastern Conference in 2007.
To commemorate the matchup and to help both programs offset funds lost due to COVID-19, NEW Radio Sports Network is hosting a Booster Battle. Click on the link to support your favorite school with the winning school earning an additional dollar-for-dollar match up to $500 from NEW Radio.
Athletic director Korey Mallien reminds fans of both schools that due to the increasing numbers of the COVID pandemic, Packerland Conference rules, and the state order about limiting capacity of gatherings, the football game between Southern Door and Luxemburg-Casco is CLOSED to the general public. Attendance is limited to two fans per varsity football player for both teams. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. Fans must be on an approved "fan list" at the gate in order to be admitted.
