Area cross country runners ready for subsectionals

Runners at Sevastopol and Luxemburg-Casco are looking to punch their ticket to sectionals this weekend.

 

The Spartans will host Chilton, Denmark, New Holstein, Two Rivers, and Valders in two waves. Chilton, New Holstein, Two Rivers and Valders are scheduled to run at 2:15 p.m. while the Spartans and Denmark will toe the line at 3:30. According to the WIAA website, Southern Door has opted out of the subsectional meet, joining Kewaunee and Sturgeon Bay.

 

The Pioneers will travel to Lena for their subsectional race, which is scheduled to take place at 3:30 p.m. They will be racing against NEW Lutheran, Gillett, and Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas. Gibraltar and Algoma would have been in the subsectional with Sevastopol prior to opting out.
