Eighteen local runners will head to their respective sectional meets on Saturday after qualifying at their subsectional meets on Tuesday.

In Lena, Sevastopol's Olivia Stenzel won the subsectional meet with a time of 20:13 as the girls' team qualified for sectionals. Bailey Henrickson (18:01), Noah Tomaszewski (19:36) and Scott Andreae (19:40) will run in the boys' race Saturday when they travel to Manitowoc Lutheran.

The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans had a good day on their home course with both teams moving onto Saturday's sectional meet at Kettle Moraine Lutheran. Sophia Mleziva and Spencer Thiry led the way for the Spartans.
