Brewers set-up man Devin Williams certainly made his mark in his first full season of Major League Baseball.
The league announced Williams as the 2020 Trevor Hoffman National League Reliever of the Year. He earned the honor by posting a 0.33 ERA while fanning 53 batters in his 27 innings of work. He gave up only eight hits and nine walks (0.63 WHIP) during those innings of work as well. Williams led the league in best ERA, WHIP and opposing batting average (.090), and he tied for the Major League lead among relievers in strikeouts and strikeouts per nine innings (17.67).
This is the third straight year a Brewers player earned the honor, following Hader's recognition in 2018 and 2019.
