Packers set to play despite concerns

The Green Bay Packers backfield could look different for the Thursday Night matchup with the unknown health of star running back Aaron Jones and now Jamaal Williams ruled out of Thursday nights game because he had been in contact with rookie running back AJ Dillon who was ruled out earlier this week due to testing positive for COVID-19. The two remaining healthy options are Tyler “Swervin Ervin” and the second-year man out of Notre Dame, Dexter Williams. Dexter Williams has zero carries this season, while Ervin has only four rushing attempts. Matt LaFleur said on Tuesday that Jones will be a game-time decision. This morning the 49ers closed their team facility due to one positive COVID-19 test, the organization has started protocol and is working with the league in preparation for Thursday’s game.

Pending an announcement before kickoff, the matchup between the Packers and the 49ers is set to begin at 7:20 p.m.
