A familiar face will not be coaching the Milwaukee Brewers from third base any longer.
Longtime coach Ed Sedar will be reassigned to a different role after General Manager David Stearns announced the coaching staff to serve under manager Craig Counsell on Wednesday. He will instead serve the team as an advisor after being a base coach since 2007. Former MLB outfielder Quinten Berry will fill Sedar's role as a base coach.
According to a Brewers release, other returning coaches include assistant hitting coach Jacob Cruz , hitting coach Andy Haines, pitching coach Chris Hook, bullpen coach Steve Karsay and bench coach Pat Murphy. Jason Lane, who served as first base coach last season and as assistant hitting coach in his previous four seasons, will return as a base coach. Walker McKinven returns as associate pitching, catching and strategy coach.
