The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team is looking to open up the season ranked at #7 according to the Associated Press poll. Badger basketball will return nearly all of their key players in the rotation except for Depere, WI native Brevin Pritzl. Coach Greg Gard said. “You can’t bask in the shadow of the trophy. We’ve got to get better and it’s going to take a lot of work. We’re going to miss Brevin. Some of the things he did, we’ve got to get better at doing and fit in new pieces.” Wisconsin Basketball has key players returning such as big man Nate Reuvers who was named to the preseason All-Big Ten and D’Mitrik Trice who was named to the 2020-21 Bob Cousy Award watch list. Last season the Badgers went 21-10 and 14-6 in conference play which was good enough for a three-way share of the Big Ten regular-season championship.
