Kewaunee's Severin to join Wisconsin wrestling

Kewaunee senior Jack Severin will see his wrestling career continue after high school.

Storm Athletic Director Brian Rabas announced Tuesday that Severin will commit to the Wisconsin Badgers wrestling team as a preferred walk-on. He will sign his letter of intent in a ceremony inside the Kewaunee High School gymnasium at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Severin is no stranger to Madison, securing the first state championship for Kewaunee in over a decade with a 6-3 victory over Wrightstown's Kaiden Koltz at 126 pounds in Division 2 last year. It was Severin's third time reaching the podium in Madison as a state finalist.
