Green Bay men picked eighth, women second in preseason poll

The Green Bay Phoenix men and women's teams will be looking to prove doubters wrong when they start their season next month.

The men's team was picked to finish eighth in the now 12-team Horizon League, which added Robert Morris University and Purdue Fort Wayne in the offseason. Wright State was picked to win the league, led by preseason player of the year. Phoenix sophomore guard Amari Davis was named to the All-Horizon League Preseason First Team.

The women's team was picked to finish second in the league behind last year's conference champion IUPUI. Caitlyn Hibner represents the Phoenix on the All-Horizon League Preseason Second Team.

The men and women will both open the Horizon League slate next month against Milwaukee on December 12th (women) and December 19th (men) respectively.
