David Bakhtiari, Packers sign record-setting deal

The Green Bay Packers offensive tackle David Bakhtiari agreed to a record-setting contract extension deal upon hours leading up to the Jacksonville Jaguar game. Bakhtiari signed a four-year contract worth $105.5 million in new money, making NFL history as the highest-paid offensive lineman ever. The base salary of the contract per year is $23 million with earning potential up to $23.5 million, while the signing bonus is $30 million, all payable before the end of the 2020-21 season. The 29 year-old was a fourth-round draft pick in 2013 out of the University of Colorado and has made two pro-bowls while being named an all-pro multiple times in his career.
