Badgers, Wildcats battle of the unbeatens

The University of Wisconsin football team is looking to stay undefeated this weekend. Wisconsin will visit the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. to see who will control the west side of the conference and remain on the path to the College Football Playoffs. Wisconsin is 2-0 and ranked 10th in the Nation after dominating the Michigan Wolverines last weekend. The Wildcats are 4-0 and ranked 19th in the Associated Press poll after a team victory last weekend over Purdue University. The Badgers come into this game leading the Big Ten in scoring with 47.0 points per game (ppg) while Northwesterns’ defensive unit only allows 14.0 ppg. This year each team have new faces under the center; undefeated redshirt freshman Graham Mertz will be starting his third career game as quarterback while Northwestern’s honorable-mention All-Big Ten quarterback Peyton Ramsey is a graduate student in his final year of eligibility. The two programs squared off last season and time of possession favored the Badgers, giving them the victory (24-15).
