Now it is the boys' turn to get the season started.
Monday marks the first day of practice for the area's seven boys' basketball teams and four wrestling squads.
In wrestling, Kewaunee looks to defend its Packerland Conference crown by fending off squads like Southern Door and Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol. Southern Door will kick off their season on December 5th against Coleman while Kewaunee and Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol will meet on December 8th. Luxemburg-Casco will wrestle Coleman on December 22nd.
Game action begins a little quicker for boys' basketball. On December 1st, Southern Door and Denmark will play each other while Sevastopol battles the Northeast Wisconsin Christian Homeschoolers Athletic Associaton at home. Luxemburg-Casco opens its season at home against Fox Valley Lutheran on December 4th. Kewaunee and Algoma will play each other for their first game of the season on December 8th and Gibraltar will wait until December 11th for its game against Kewaunee.
