Preliminary deer hunt numbers coming Tuesday

Area deer hunters will get a taste of what the harvest was like across the state when the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources releases the preliminary numbers on Tuesday. 


They will release a second round of data from this year's gun season on Tuesday, December 1st as well. According to the DNR, a more detailed registration data summary for all deer hunting seasons will be available after all 2020 deer hunting seasons close.


As of November 17th, Door County hunters have harvested 1,237 deer including 609 bucks. Kewaunee County hunters have harvested 981 deer including 493 bucks.
