The Sevastopol Pioneers girl’s varsity basketball team suffered a season opening loss on Saturday against the Roncalli Jets, 48-56. Head coach Ben Rikkola entered this game in his second season as the governor of the program. Rikkola’s squad finished shooting 33% from the field to the Jets 35%. Sevastopol and Roncalli both finished with 34 rebounds on the night while the Pioneers topped the Jets in steals, 7/6. The Pioneers are scheduled to play Northeast Wisconsin Christian Home School on Monday, November 30th.
