Bucks tumble in season opener

The Milwaukee Bucks basketball organization tipped-off their season with an Eastern Conference loss on the road to the Boston Celtics, 122-121.

Milwaukee led by a nine-point margin in the middle of the second quarter until Boston went on a 10-0 scoring run. The Bucks found themselves down at halftime by six points, 65-59. Milwaukee’s Brook Lopez hit a tip-in basket down the stretch to tie the game up in the fourth quarter, 113-113. Boston’s Jason Tatum hit a go ahead three-point bank shot with 1.5 seconds left of play. Giannis Antetokounmpo had a chance to tie the game after a bonus opportunity at the free-throw line with 0.4 seconds left of play and could not convert, giving the Bucks a season opening loss. Offseason acquisition notable Jrue Holiday dropped 25 points in his Bucks debut while the reigning back-to-back NBA MVP Antetokoumpo tallied 35 points to lead all scorers. Milwaukee will head back home on Christmas day to face the Golden State Warriors at 1:30pm.
