The Green Bay Gamblers hope the winning continues when they travel to Geneva, Ill. on Saturday to face the Chicago Steel.
The Gamblers are coming off a holiday sweep of the Team USA U-17 squad at the Resch Center, including a 5-4 overtime win on New Year's Eve thanks to yet another game-winning goal by defenseman Mason Lohrei. The Steel comes into the game a couple of weeks removed from their last weekend set as they split a pair with the Muskegon Lumberjacks.
The Steel have already taken two of the first three games between the two teams, though it was the Gamblers that took the last match-up by a score of 7-4.
The puck drops on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. with first place on the line.
