The Marquette Golden Eagles could not hang on to an early lead and dropped a Big East Conference game to the UConn Huskies at Fiserv Forum on Tuesday evening. The Golden Eagles came out on fire and took a 31-23 lead into intermission thanks in part to the play of Dawson Garcia who scored a team-high 20 points. Garcia added ten rebounds as well, but it was not enough as UConn went on a big second-half run and pulled away late to take the 65-54 decision. The Huskies were led by Tyler Polley who poured in 23 points in just 24 minutes. Marquette was scheduled to play Villanova on Friday night in Philadelphia but that game has been postponed.
