Packers-Rams NFC Divisional Playoff Preview

The Green Bay Packers are hoping to treat some 6,000 season ticket holders and fans returning to Lambeau Field for the first time this season on Saturday afternoon to an NFC Divisional game victory against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Packers (13-3) earned a bye and the conference’s home-field advantage.  The Rams (11-7) upset the Seattle Seahawks last weekend in a Super Wildcard Playoff game.

Aaron Rodgers, who led the NFL with 48 touchdown passes this season, will be facing a Ram defense that was ranked number one in the league.  Ram defensive lineman Aaron Donald, who left the playoff game last week with a rib cartilage injury, is expected to play.

The Rams will start quarterback Jared Goff, plagued by a fractured thumb on his throwing hand.
Goff has had an up-and-down year and replaced John Wolford last week, who suffered a stinger and ruled out for this game.

The Packer defense will look to control running back Cam Akers, who tallied 176 yards in total offense last week against the Seahawks.  The improving Packer defense has given up over 100 yards in rushing in 11 of the 18 games this season.

The kickoff of the game is set for 3:35 pm at Lambeau Field.
