Southern Door basketball fans had plenty to smile about as the region got to see plenty of good action on Saturday.

In boys' basketball action, the Eagles toppled Sevastopol 64-42 and Algoma fell to Peshtigo 66-37.

Girls' basketball action featured the Eagles beating Crivitz 47-31 and Sturgeon Bay losing to Peshtigo 78-37.

College basketball action saw the Green Bay Phoenix women lose to Cleveland State 60-48 to have their seven-game winning streak snapped, the Phoenix men completed their sweep of IPFW with an 87-72  victory, the Wisconsin Badgers lost to Ohio State 74-62, and the Marquette Golden Eagles lost to DePaul 68-61.
