Basketball recap: Girls begin road to state Tuesday

The road to state officially begins for the local girls' basketball team after finishing up their regular season on Saturday.



Three Storm players finished in double figures as Kewaunee toppled Gibraltar on the road 73-40.


Three players for the Eagles also finished in double figures as Southern Door soared past Algoma 62-34.



Algoma stormed back from a 12-point halftime lead to stun Sevastopol 75-67.


No score was available for the rescheduled Luxemburg-Casco/Oconto Falls matchup.



The Wisconsin Badgers lost for the first time in Champaign in eight years, falling to Illinois 75-60.


Marquette could not close a five-point halftime deficit in its 71-68 loss to Creighton.


The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team nearly saw its 20+ point lead evaporate in the second half, but held on to beat IUPUI 77-72.


The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team shook up the Horizon League standings as they finished a two-game weekend sweep of Northern Kentucky with a 62-58 win.
