Blizzard, IFL delays season

You will have to wait just a little bit longer to see the Green Bay Blizzard take the field at the Resch Center in 2021.

The Indoor Football League, which includes the Blizzard among its member teams, announced on Wednesday its plans to push back the 2021 IFL Kickoff Weekend to the weekend of May 14, 2021. With a league that stretches across the entire country affected by COVID-19 in different ways, league commissioner Todd Tryon said in a release that the decision was in the best interest of its member teams to ensure their success in 2021.

The Blizzard will now kick off their "do-over season" on April 23rd at the Resch Center against the Bismarck Bucks for a preseason matchup. The two teams will meet up again for the start of the regular season in Bismarck on May 15th.
