Brewers get approval for 25 percent capacity in Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Public Health Department has given the Brewers the thumbs up on a plan to allow for 25 percent capacity at American Family Field to start the season.

In a release from the Brewers, City of Milwaukee Health Commissioner Kirsten Johnson approved a plan to allow approximately 10,000 fans in the ballpark while banning tailgating for the time being. The plan can always be altered as the season goes on and conditions improve.

Opening Day is set for Thursday, April 1 at 1:10 p.m. against the Minnesota Twins which will be the first time in 18 months fans will be able to see their Brewers in-person in Milwaukee. Similar protocols are already being used at spring training ballparks in Arizona and Florida.

Season seat holders and suite holders will be contacted about their options for attending games in the next week. Information on tickets to individual games will be announced at a later date.
