One swing of the bat sent the Milwaukee Brewers to their first off-day on a sour note thanks to a 2-1 loss to the Chicago Cubs.
The Brewers opened up the game with a 1-0 lead thanks to an RBI single by Orlando Arcia in the second inning. A dropped ball by Arcia in the third inning led to a two-run home run by Joc Pederson that ultimately won the game for the Cubs. The Cubs would tack on insurance in the sixth inning on an Austine Romine RBI single. Brewers' pitching struck out eight Cubs Saturday, including three from Josh Lindblom over two innings of work.
The Brewers have off on Sunday before they play again on Monday afternoon against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
