The Wisconsin Men’s Basketball team came into Friday’s Big Ten Tournament conference matchup the underdog, and at halftime looked primed to knock off Iowa. Wisconsin was up 32-26 at the break. Now the Badgers have the suspenseful wait of finding out if they will make the NCAA tournament field after losing the tight battle, 62-57. In perhaps his final game in red and white, D’Mitrik Trice lead the team in scoring with 19 points.
For Iowa, they advance to the tournament semifinals where they will take on the University of Illinois on Saturday. Wisconsin was never able to take down the Hawkeyes in three attempts this season. Wisconsin’s record falls to 17-12, and they will wait for the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee to decide their fate.
