Three-inning stretch pushes Brewers past Cleveland

The Milwaukee Brewers hit three home runs in a three inning span in Monday’s 6-3 win over the Cleveland Indians. After a solo home run by Cleveland’s Franmil Reyes, they would hold a 1-0 lead into the top of the third inning. Milwaukee would get on the board when Tyrone Taylor would go yard for his second home run of Spring Training, which would also be a two-run blast. Cleveland would tie the game in the bottom of the third but that would be the last time Milwaukee wasn’t ahead.

In the top of the fourth inning, Daniel Vogelbach would hit the Brewers’ second two-run homer and would make the game 4-2. In the top of the fifth inning, Avisail Garcia would continue with a two-run shot of his own. This would mark his third home-run of the Spring. The game would then be 6-2 until the final frame where Cleveland would put up a run. Brandon Woodruff would be credited with the win on the mound. He pitched six innings, gave up two runs and struck out four batters.

The game would end a 6-3 win for Milwaukee and their record moves to 11-9. The Brewers will take the field on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. First pitch is scheduled for 3:10 P.M.
