Bucks extend streak

The Milwaukee Bucks held on for their eighth straight win despite a fourth quarter run by the Boston Celtics on Wednesday evening. The final score was 121-119, as the game came down to the wire. Milwaukee would score thirty-five points in the first two quarters and lead 70-59 at the half. The Bucks’ newly acquired P.J. Tucker had a three pointer in the first half.

The Bucks lead would be extended to as many as twenty-five points in the third quarter, but by the end of the period the Bucks would be ahead by just fourteen. In the final minutes, Boston would give Milwaukee fits as they almost came back to force overtime. Brook Lopez got a block on a Marcus Smart attempt to drive the lane with two seconds left. Boston would miss the game-tying three pointer at the end of regulation and Milwaukee would cling to a two point victory.

It was Giannis first night back on the hardwood since being out in the Bucks last game, and he would score 13 points as well as pitching in 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Khris Middleton would be the star of the night with a double scoring 27 points and grabbing 13 boards. In just 17 minutes, Bobby Portis would post 21 points. Donte DiVincenzo and Brook Lopez would each score 17 points.

Milwaukee moves to 29-14 this season and are yet to lose since All-Star break. Both teams will stay in Milwaukee and square off again on Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
