Brewers comeback cut short against White Sox

Milwaukee would get the scoreboard lit up first in the bottom the first, but that would be the last time they would score in Friday’s loss to the Chicago White Sox. Keston Hiura would get a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning, and Milwaukee would take a 1-0 lead into the second inning. It would be Hiura’s fourth of Spring Training. The game would flip on a white Sox three-run home run from Zack Collins, off of Brewers Pitcher Freddy Peralta. The White Sox 3-1 lead would be trimmed when Freddy Peralta would help himself, scoring on a White Sox balk. Chicago reacted in the top of the sixth inning by posting four runs to make the game 7-2 in favor of Chicago. Garrett Mitchell would give the Brewers life with a two-RBI triple in the bottom of the ninth. Jace Peterson would follow that up with an RBI double that would score Mitchell.

That would be all the Brewers' scoring would do in the final frame, and the game would end 7-5. Milwaukee is now 12-11 in Spring Training and will take on the Kansas City Royals on Saturday at 3:05 PM.
