Volleyball: Sevastopol too much for Southern Door

It has been a season of streaks for the Sevastopol High School volleyball team, and Monday’s win over Southern Door continued their second significant winning streak. The Pioneers took set one in Brussels, 25-19. The Pioneers would carry the momentum into the second set, starting out up 6-0. The Pioneers would dominate the rest of the set and win 25-10. Sevastopol wouldn’t slow down in the third set, cruising to a 25-8 win. The match victory would be their fourth straight. In Monday’s win, Rebekah Andreae would have 5 blocks, Bailey Rikkola would have 18 digs, Sasha Laaksonen collected 19 assists and Sam Differt would get 10 kills.

The sweep moved Sevastopol’s season record to 10-2. Sevastopol will have a rematch with Sturgeon Bay the next time they take the court on March 29. The first serve is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
