The early going of the 2021 baseball season renewed the Milwaukee Brewers rivalry with the Chicago Cubs on Monday. Milwaukee headed to Wrigley Field for the first of a three game series. A big fourth inning for the Cubs was the difference maker in Monday’s game, as the Brewers gave up three home runs in the bottom of the inning and the Cubs would take a 4-0 lead. Milwaukee would regain life in the top of the seventh inning when Omar Narvaez would bring home Christian Yelich and Avisail Garcia on a three run blast over the right field fence.
That wouldn’t be enough as Chicago scored the final run of the game in the bottom of the seventh inning and clinged to the lead for a 5-3 win. After a season opening win, the Brewers have dropped three straight, and are 1-3. The Brewers will take on the Cubs on Tuesday at 6:40 PM.
