Brewers blank Cubs

A Travis Shaw first inning home run and a dominant day on the mound was the recipe for success for the Brewers on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs. Freddy Peralta went five innings and struck out eight, while allowing just a hit and no runs. After a three run shot from Shaw in the top of the first, the Brewers were on cruise control until the top of the fourth when Omar Narvaez would drive one over the centerfield fence.

On the day of trading Orlando Arcia, the Brewers would shut out the Chicago Cubs, winning 4-0. The win snaps a three game losing streak and improves Milwaukee’s early season record to 2-3. The Brewers will finish their series at Wrigley Field on Wednesday at 1:20 PM.
