Corbin Burnes had a dominant day on the mound for the Brewers on Thursday, but it didn’t earn him the victory against the St. Louis Cardinals. After the Brewers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third, they would be unable to cross the plate again. In the third inning Keston Hiura scored on a St. Louis error. Burnes would go six innings on the bump and allow just one hit and no runs. After his exit, the Brewers gave up a run in the seventh and the game would be tied. St. Louis gave themselves a cushion with two runs in the bottom of the eighth on their way to a 3-1 victory.
The Brewers get Friday off before playing St. Louis again on Saturday at 1:15 PM. The Brewers are now 3-4 this season.
