Brewers lose in extras

Dan Vogelbach hit two homers but it was not enough as the Milwaukee Brewers lost the game and the series to the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-5 in 10 innings.

The game went back and forth from the first inning as Vogelbach hit his first homer of the game and was followed by a Travis Shaw RBI double. The Pirates took the lead in the third inning on a Colin Moran three-run blast only to see it disappear in the bottom half of the frame on an Avisail Garcia homer. Vogelbach and the Pirates' Bryan Reynolds traded home runs in the seventh inning to make the game 5-5 where it would stand going into extra innings. With a man on a second base due to MLB rules, Moran's run-scoring double provided the only difference in the game.

The Brewers now head to San Diego for a three-game set against the Padres. The first game starts at 9:10 p.m.
