Burnes stays on fire in Brewers win

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes continued his season opening stretch of dominance on Tuesday with a ten strikeout performance in six scoreless innings. The Brewers would keep the San Diego Padres off the scoreboard en route to a 6-0 victory. The Brewers did their damage in the top of the third inning, starting with a Billy McKinney solo home run. The Brewers continued their third inning roll when Travis Shaw would hit a two RBI double scoring Corbin Burnes and Daniel Vogelbach. Omar Narvaez would get two RBI’s on a single, which would score Travis Shaw and Avisail Garcia. After the third inning, Milwaukee led 5-0. Jace Pederson put icing on the cake for Milwaukee with a solo home run in the top of the ninth. 

 

Milwaukee has won the first two games of the series with the Padres, and will play them again on Wednesday in San Diego. First pitch is scheduled for 3:10 PM. It will be the closing game of the series.
