The Sturgeon Bay Clippers soccer team held off the Preble Hornets 2-1 with Coach Maas getting his first-ever victory over the rival. Leading the way for the Clippers was Ben Luders with a goal in the 39th minute that tied the game 1-1. Then after a tremendous hustle from Robert Alas that gave the Clippers a corner kick, Spencer Hubbard was able to find Gavin Hernandez in the 50th minute of play putting Sturgeon Bay up 2-1 which would end up being the final score. The Clippers are back in action Monday when they travel to Sevastopol to take on Gibraltar/Sevastopol. The game will be on 96.7 WBDK and the NEW Radio Sports Network with pregame starting at 6 pm and kickoff at 6:30 pm.
