The Green Bay Gamblers were in trouble right out of the gates against the Dubuque Fighting Saints on Friday, as the first period would end with Green Bay down 5-1. Dubuque would extend the lead and go up 7-1 after two periods. Green Bay would cut the lead in the third period, but not enough as they would fall 8-4. Green Bay will play in Dubuque again on Saturday.
With the regular season coming to a close, Green Bay will face Muskegon in the first round of the USHL playoffs. Whether as the two or three seed is to be determined. The Gamblers are currently slotted at third place in the USHL Eastern Conference.
