A pitchers' duel turned into a laugher late as the Milwaukee Brewers took the win and the series from the Chicago Cubs 6-0 Sunday afternoon.
Through the first eight innings, a bases-loaded walk drawn by Travis Shaw in the first inning was the only run scored by either team. The Brewers took advantage of a poor outing by Cubs reliever Jason Adam, who gave up all five ninth-inning runs without retiring one batter. RBI hits by Luis Urias and Kolten Wong, a bases-loaded hit by pitch by Travis Shaw, and another bases-loaded walk to Tyrone Taylor gave the Brewers their second win of the series and their fifth win in the last six games.
The Brewers return home on Monday to face the Miami Marlins at 6:40 p.m.
