Baseball round-up: Gibraltar, Southern Door sweep

Gibraltar and Southern Door's baseball teams earned two wins on their opening days on Thursday.


Jaden Diller threw a no-hitter in game one of a two-game sweep of Algoma for Southern Door as the Eagles soared to 14-0 and 16-1 victories.


Gibraltar brought out the lumber in its two victories against Sevastopol, winning 12-3 and 18-2 respectively. 


Sturgeon Bay was unable to complete its doubleheader against Oconto, but won the first matchup 9-4.


Luxemburg-Casco dropped its second game of the season in non-conference action, falling to Green Bay Notre Dame 6-2.


Kewaunee fell to Manitowoc Lincoln 8-3.


Friday's slate of action includes Luxemburg-Casco playing on the road at Little Chute for a single game at 4:30 p.m. Doubleheaders on Friday include Gibraltar hosting Algoma and Kewaunee battling Oconto at home beginning at 4:30 p.m.
