Brewers sweep Nats

The Milwaukee Brewers got two runs in the first inning and didn't need much more than that in its 3-0 win Sunday over the Washington Nationals.

Avisail Garcia drove in the pair of first-inning runs with his tenth home run of the year while Omar Narvaez drove in the third run with a solo shot in the ninth.

Brandon Woodruff sparkled in this one, throwing five innings of no-hit ball en route to a seven-inning shutout with 10 strikeouts. Josh Hader nailed down his 12th save of the season.

The Brewers play a matinee at home against Zach Short and the Detroit Tigers at 2:20 p.m.
