Spartans and Clippers girls soccer teams going for road playoff wins

On Saturday morning Luxemburg-Casco will try to continue their good fortunes after a good defensive performance in their opening playoff win. The Spartans face Freedom, who is 5-6 this season. The two teams did squabble earlier this season, with Freedom winning 5-1 on May 24th. The Spartans come into the game with a 7-4 overall mark. The winner of Saturday’s game will take on the winner in the matchup between Seymour and Denmark. The Spartans game on Saturday will begin at 10:00 AM and will be held in Freedom.

After a shutout win over Clintonville, the Sturgeon Bay Clippers will be heading to Wrightstown on Saturday for their second game of WIAA postseason play. The tall task will also be a shot at payback as Wrightstown downed Sturgeon Bay 3-0 on May 22nd. Since starting the season 0-3, the Clippers have since gone 5-3. Wrightstown is an overall 11-3 this year. The winner of Saturday’s game will play the winner of the game between Roncalli and St. Mary Catholic. The Clippers will begin play on Saturday at 5:00 PM.
