A return of the state competition for trapshooting saw the Luxemburg-Casco High School team finish in the top five for the first time. The Wisconsin State High School Clay Target League took place this last Saturday and Sunday in Nekoosa. Luxemburg-Casco was one of 30 teams in the 2A Division on Saturday. The Spartans were led by Jacob DeGrave’s 99, Garrett Simonar’s 97, Cody Simonar’s 94, and Trey Vincent’s 93. Coach Dale Simonar said only a few shots separated the top five teams.
